Dataminer/Analyst Wanted
Copenhagen

AltaPay is an ambitious software company in Søborg with unique solutions for online and point-of-sale payments.

Owing to our intelligent and customer-specific solutions we are a market leader. Our client base counts large international enterprises; each with unique payment needs to support their local and global businesses.

International customers are coming in a good flow and there are several exciting projects in the pipeline. In other words, our business is booming and we are expanding.

The Job

You will be an important part of our support team, where you will have the responsibility to validate and modify any data problems from our payment providers.

The data you work with is used by our customers to reconcile payments. They come from different sources and in different formats and are automatically imported into our reporting system.

The system validates and converts the data. You will be our most important and necessary filter in this process.

The reporting system will be your best friend in your daily work to investigate and validate the incoming data you work with.

Sometimes you will also use Linux and Excel, especially when you are investigating and identifying issues that you can't find in the reporting system. You will do the manual lists in excel.

Besides the central responsibility for ensuring the data from providers monitored and changed, your role will also be to go through custom reports for clients as well as internally in the organization.

This could be reports related to conversion rates in specific areas or history of errors in general.

There will also be ad hoc tasks, and occasionally you'll support our helpdesk.

You
  • Like having your own responsibility, but are never afraid to ask if you need help.
  • Will definitely be some kind of detective / problem solver in the support team and you can easily see yourself in this role.
  • Have a data mindset and are also strong with numbers.
  • Are a trouble-shooter and have a solution-oriented mindset with the capacity to quality ensure and detect anomalies within specific IT systems.
  • Are accustomed to and love to potter with data
  • Have a good technical understanding and experience from a similar position, perhaps from the financial sector.
  • Are able work with larger data sets in Excel etc.
  • Have knowledge of the terminal use in Linux (although not a requirement if you have a good technical foundation and are a quick learner).
  • Have experience in understanding the code; particularly JavaScript is an advantage, but far from a requirement.
What's in it for you:

The team is dedicated and openminded. There is a strong team spirit and a light tone. You will get a work day full of dedicated and happy colleagues who have fun and help each other.

A strong culture and a good spirit is what drive the employees in their daily work.

The Fun Part

We have a laid-back attitude anda couple of times a day, you'll see your colleagues go at it at our foosball table or go to the lobby for a cup of (free) coffee.

Furthemore, we have monthly board game nights and company parties a couple of times a year.

As for dress code, sure, some of us do wear suits on a daily basis, although many take a more comfortable approach. Heck, as a principle our chief architect never wears a matching pair of socks.

There's room to be odd, as long as you're good, too.

Foreigners are most welcome. Throughout the company, less than half of us are Danes - the rest are from Argentina, Iceland, Italy, Lithuania, Romania, Spain - it seems we have everything except Elbonians.

So you can be sure that everything's in English and that it doesn't matter if you don't speak a word of Danish.

Sure, let's also have a paragraph about some of the perks: you get to choose your own hardware and OS, we offer flex time and the ability to work from home, a free monthly massage, there's a fitness club, a good cafeteria, and other neat stuff.

Our business is expanding, fast, and there's only so many (well, few) of us. Help! Come join us, it'll be fun. At least, get in touch with us and let's just see what happens.

Start: ASAP
